Alay Lakad: A Walk for a Cause

Tagaytay City celebrated its annual Alay Lakad with its theme “Edukasyon ng Kabataan ay suportahan, hakbang ay simulan upang sila ay tulungan”, was conducted on September 4, Tuesday, at 5:00 in the morning. Its route started from Brgy. Maitim II East to Tagaytay Oval Track and Field.

Mayor Agnes Tolentino and Vice Mayor Raymond Ambion led the parade with the city councilors of Tagaytay. It was also participated by different barangay officials, department heads, establishment representatives and schools in Tagaytay City, including City College of Tagaytay.

The purpose of the said event was for the  city government to collect funds for the “Alay Lakad Scholarship,” which funds the tertiary educations for interested but indigent  youths of Tagaytay city.

Maricris Del Mundo Tagle, one of the recipients of the Alay Lakad Scholarship, delivered a speech after the parade expressing her gratitude from being a part of the program that helped her to become successful in life.

The event was closed by an exhibition drill of the ACES which captured the crowd in the venue followed by a group photo of all the participants.
