Character is what it takes to build a nation.

                  Every students’ primary objective is to learn to help the world for a better change and make a change for his nation and to themselves. Learning is a cognitive process and every intellectual should act according to his educational skills. Why is character involved in the process of learning? It must be present at each learner’s personality because knowledge is nothing without a character. A good student must oblige to the rules and regulations given by the school to improve his well-being while still learning. These guidelines are made to guide the learners to sharpen their minds, build up a good mindset and viewpoint to the community, and be a good example to the society.

A student will never learn if he does not possess a good character. There are no standards for being a “good student” viewed by a teacher, a parent, or in public. What the world will see should be seen by the student himself before the world. Learning after some mistakes is a good thing, but sometimes, we do not need to do mistakes first before we learn.

It is our character that guides us when we want to learn and while we are learning.

Building a great nation starts within its cities. Tagaytay proudly presents that it is the City of Character, that implies a great challenge for all the students of the city, especially in the City College of Tagaytay. Learning should always come with character, and that should be every one’s mindset. Starting today, let us learn and build our character, and we will make a change for our nation, and would be committed if we already started to apply what we had learned.

                  As a food for thought let as learn from the teachings of Mahathir Gandhi when he said: “Carefully watch your thoughts, for they become your words.
